“Spectacular Slackline Show at the Opening of the Vasim Circus Space:”
A Summary of an Unforgettable Day!
The Announcement
The idea was clear and ambitious. Our proposal to hold an acrobatic slackline show at the NYMA, as outlined in our project proposal, marked the beginning of a thrilling journey. We’re immensely proud of what we have achieved. We eagerly anticipate future projects and are excited to craft more inspiring shows. Every location has its unique story waiting to be told in its own special way.

Preparations in Full Swing
Actual preparations kicked off on October 5th. Setting up the slackline posed a challenge, but the team, with keen slackliners, tackled it with gusto. Every detail was meticulously considered to ensure the audience had a safe and spectacular experience. The line was suspended 26 meters high and stretched 85 meters long with anchor points fixed atop the Nyma water tower and midway up the Vasim Chimney.

The Highlight: The Show
As 17:20 on October 6th drew near, the tension was palpable. But when the performers began their acrobatic stunts on the slackline, everyone knew they were witnessing a moment to remember. The audience was thoroughly captivated by the skill and courage of our performers.

Media Coverage
Our event did not go unnoticed. Renowned newspapers like AD and De Gelderlander covered the Vasim Circus Space opening and our one-of-a-kind performance.

The Continuing Adventure
Even post-show, the slackline remained the center of attraction. Many took on the challenge, trying their balance on the line. The gusty winds on Saturday only enhanced the thrill of the challenge. A humorous touch was reports coming into the police about individuals supposedly “walking over a power cable”.
